Fern II
Choose options

Fern II features cinnamon ferns as well as two other enchanting fern varieties: the sensitive fern and the southern maidenhair fern. The ferns have certain things in common; they prefer damp soil, they're used for traditional herbal medicine, and they're native to the Eastern United States. However, their appearances vary widely. The cinnamon fern has delicate filigree foliage, the sensitive fern has robust leaflets with wavy edges, and the southern maidenhair fern has cascading leaves shaped like small fans. Seen together, these fern friends form a mazy of delicate shapes and lines that is gently defined by varying shades of green. The ferns are accompanied by the sensitive fern borer moth, for which the sensitive fern is the host plant. Fern II pairs beautifully with Fern I.
Made with water-based printing inks, watercolors, and heavy printing paper, Fern II is a limited edition, linocut print that is printed by hand in New York City. The subtle variations that result from hand printing make each print one of a kind.
Imperfections, such as uneven ink coverage and slight waves in the paper ground, are inherent to block printing and are part of its beauty.
